ISO 9001 is defined as the international standard that specifies requirements for a quality management system (QMS). Organizations use the standard to demonstrate the ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

This course provides a foundation to understand quality management systems, as well as the processes and tools related to ISO 9001. The course covers both theory and practice. It will include an introduction to the requirements of ISO 9001, including processes, implementing tools, and improving quality.

Course Objectives

Upon completion of the course, learners will be to manage ISO9001 quality management system (QMS) processes and apply quality tools to fulfil the requirements and improvement of the QMS.

Learning Outcomes

By end of the course, learners should be able to:

  • LO1 – identify area of improvement using ISO 9001 QMS and perform process improvement.
  • LO2 – apply quality tools from QMS and monitor key metrics.
  • LO3 – evaluate and assess compliance against QMS requirements.
  • LO4 – follow up on the QMS improvement process sand document continual improvement.

All participants will receive a Certificate of Completion from Tertiary Courses after achieved at least 75% attendance.
