Docker is a containerization platform, and Kubernetes is a container orchestrator for container platforms like Docker. Because Docker containers encapsulate everything an application needs to run (and only those things), they allow applications to be shuttled easily between environments. Any host with the Docker runtime installed—be it a developer’s laptop or a public cloud instance—can run a Docker container
On other hand, Kubernetes provides an easy way to scale your application, compared to virtual machines. It keeps code operational and speeds up the delivery process. Kubernetes API allows automating a lot of resource management and provisioning tasks.
This course will teach you the fundamental of Docker and Kubernetes.
