The field of computer vision is shifting from traditional image processing to deep learning methods. With deep learning, a lot of new applications of computer vision techniques have been introduced in recent years and are now becoming parts of our everyday lives. These include image classification, object detection, video tracking, object segmentation
This course will use Raspberry Pi 4 with camera for demonstration and hand-on practice on computer vision.
Course Objectives
- Learners will be able to setup and deploy computer vision system
Learning Outcomes
By end of the course, learners should be able to
- understand basic vision systems concepts and applications
- apply basic computer vision techniques
- implement image classification
- implement object detection and video analytics
- evaluate edge and cloud-based computer vision systems
Material
Due to no available RPI stock, a RPI kit set will be loan out to trainee for training use. The kit set on loan will be as follows:
- Raspberry Pi 4 4G
- Power Adaptor
- microSD Card
- HDMI Cable
- High Resolution USB Camera

Skills Framework
This course follows the guideline of Computer Vision Technology ICT-DIT-4022-1.1 TSC under ICT Skills Framework
Certification
Two e-certificates will be awarded to trainees who have demonstrated competency in the WSQ assessment and achieved at least 75% attendance.
- A SkillsFuture WSQ Statement of Attainment (SOA) issued by WSG. Typically will take 3-4 weeks.
- Certification of Achievement issued by Tertiary Infotech Pte Ltd issued after the class.
WSQ Funding
WSQ funding is only applicable to Singaporeans and PR. Subject to eligibility, the funding support is subjected to funding caps.
