Python is the most popular programming language used in data analytics and machine learning. Many people have acquired basic Python programming skill at the beginner level such as data types, control structures and functions. However, this basic skill level is insufficient for them to perform more complex data analytics or machine learning tasks that require higher level of Python programming skill such as object-oriented programming (OOP), database management and error handling etc.
This 2-day WSQ Python Fundamental Intermediate Level Course is a follow up course from WSQ Python Fundamental for Beginnners course. It will help to meet the needs of these people who want to perform more complex data analytics and machine learning jobs by teaching them intermediate level Python coding
Course Learning Outcomes
After the end of this WSQ Python course, participants will learn:
- understand and code Python comprehensions and generators
- manage files and folders in Python
- understand and code Object Oriented Programming (OOP)
- setup and use databases in Python
- understand and code Exceptions to handle errors in Python

Skills Framework
This course follows the guideline of Analytics and Computational Modelling ICT-DIT-3001-1.1 TSC under ICT Skills Framework
Certification
Two e-certificates will be awarded to trainees who have demonstrated competency in the WSQ assessment and achieved at least 75% attendance.
- A SkillsFuture WSQ Statement of Attainment (SOA) issued by WSG. Typically will take 3-4 weeks.
- Certification of Achievement issued by Tertiary Infotech Pte Ltd issued after the class.
WSQ Funding
WSQ funding is only applicable to Singaporeans and PR. Subject to eligibility, the funding support is subjected to funding caps.
