Regardless of platform, you will need to build APIs to serve data between different client applications and endpoints. Good APIs are a necessity for web and mobile projects, especially with the modern, mobile-first approach to development.

This course delivers the fundamental knowledge required to enable highly connected interactions between applications via RESTful APIs. You will learn how to quickly build, secure, and test an effective RESTful API using Python and Flask, the Python microframework.

Course Objectives

Learners will be able to Integrate and test web API functionalities using Python Flask.

Course Outcomes

By the end of the course, learners will be able to

    • identify and assess Python Flask to create connections
    • integrate data and functions using Flask templating framework.
    • support API integration using Python Flask
    • perform tests and checks on the connection to databases using Python Flask
    • modify the API to enhance integration and security.

          Skills Framework

          This course follows the guideline of Applications Integration ICT-DIT-3003-1.1TSC under ICT Skills Framework


          Two e-certificates will be awarded to trainees who have demonstrated competency in the WSQ assessment and achieved at least 75% attendance.

          • A SkillsFuture WSQ Statement of Attainment (SOA) issued by WSG. Typically will take 3-4 weeks.
          • Certification of Completion issued by Tertiary Infotech Pte Ltd issued after the class.

          WSQ Funding

          WSQ funding is only applicable to Singaporeans and PR. Subject to eligibility, the funding support is subjected to funding caps.

          Please do not pay upfront. We will advise you on the eligibility and nett fee after registration. Company sponsored staff are eligible for Absentee Payroll.

          After the WSQ subsidy, you can offset the nett fee by the following :
