This three-day WSQ PDPA course will give course participants a good overview and understanding of the PDPA and how it may be applied to the organizations for compliance. In addition to references to relevant parts of the PDPA, the course content is also largely adapted from the Advisory Guidelines published by the PDPC
Course Objectives
- Learn about the new personal data protection act 2020
- Learn how to apply PDPA and manage data breaches for your organisation
- Learn about the role of a data protection officer and provide training and communication to staff for compliance
- Demonstrate PDPA assessment tools for organisations
Learning Outcomes
By the end of the course, learners will be able to
- Identify legislative and regulatory requirements under the PDPA that the organisation has to comply with;
- Communicate key legislative and regulatory requirements under the PDPA and related management systems to relevant stakeholders to facilitate compliance;
- Assess the organisation’s internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance;
- Identify and document areas of non-compliance in business activities;
- Assist in review of the organisation’s guidelines / policies for adherence to requirements under the PDPA;
- Assist in the implementation of procedures to ensure adherence to requirements under the PDPA in the day-to-day operations of the organisation; and
- Prepare management report for follow-up action

Skills Framework
This course follows the guideline of Data Protection Management ICT-CGP-3020-1.1 TSC under ICT Skills Framework
Certification
Two e-certificates will be awarded to trainees who have demonstrated competency in the WSQ assessment and achieved at least 75% attendance.
- A SkillsFuture WSQ Statement of Attainment (SOA) issued by WSG. Typically will take 3-4 weeks.
- Certification of Completion issued by Tertiary Infotech Pte Ltd issued after the class.
WSQ Funding
WSQ funding is only applicable to Singaporeans and PR. Subject to eligibility, the funding support is subjected to funding caps.
